Xixi National Wetlands Park is the first and only national wetland in China. The park is densely crisscrossed with six main watercourses, amongst which scatter various ponds, lakes and swamps. With a history of more than 1800 years, Xixi wetland has an abundance of culture heritage. Tourists also love the tranquility and peace in the area where they can enjoy cups of coffee and afternoon tea leisurely. Some original water villages there enjoy a high level of prosperity for trades such as silkworm feeding and silk production while traditional Dragon Boat Contest take place every year through a fabulous bird-watching period.
